About the oil: The tea tree

Tea tree oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant, a shrub belonging to the Myrtaceae family. Under natural conditions, it grows in the marshy areas of Australia and New Zealand, where for commercial reasons it is also grown on plantations. The most important thing in extracting the oil are the oppositely arranged leaves, lanceolate in shape, richly equipped with oil glands. The oil is obtained by steam distillation from leaves collected between November and May. The very name of the plant has little to do with tea. It was given by Captain James Cook, who, like the Australian Aborigines, brewed an infusion similar to tea from the leaves of this shrub.

Natural oils can sensitize, so before using it in perfumes, you should test a small amount of the oil, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.

We sell the oil as a raw material.
