ABOUT THE ABSOLUTION OF ROSE DAMASCENA
We pour the petals of the Damascus rose with hexanol, which, however, perfectly dissolves fragrant substances. When all the smell has passed from the plant to the solvent, the flakes are removed and then the hexanol is stripped off. The residue is a greasy goo, a concrete that dissolves in alcohol. Then the alcohol evaporates again and only then is the Absolute formed. In terms of price, absolutes and essential oils are usually at a similar level, and even absolutes are often more expensive than oils.
Although chemicals are used to obtain absolutes, we are still dealing with an extremely noble oil.

Natural oils can sensitize, so before using it in perfumes, test a small amount of the oil on your own skin for at least 24 hours, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.
