ABOUT THE OIL

The Essential Oil of Balsam Peru comes from trees called Myroxylon belonging to the Fabaceae family. The production of the Peruvian balm is mainly done by the Indians of Guatemala and San Salvador. The raw material is obtained from wild trees or those grown in the so-called balsam groves. One tree provides about 2.5 kg of balm a year.
