About the oil: Oakmoss

Evernia prunastri, also known as oakmoss, Oakmoss is a lichen species. It can be found in many temperate mountain forests throughout the Northern Hemisphere, including parts of France, Portugal, Spain, North America, and much of Central Europe. Oak moss grows mainly on the trunks and branches of oaks, but is also commonly found on the bark of other deciduous trees and conifers such as fir and pine.

Oil distilled with steam from oak moss

Oakmoss is one of the most used raw materials, particularly in the chypre and fougère perfumes. Often used as a fixative, it not only improves the durability of the composition, but also gives a delicate, forest, rich and earthy aroma, leaving a natural, moist and creamy soft trace.

Widely used in perfumery as one of the compositions of many perfumes, it is also a good perfume fixer.

Natural oils can sensitize, so before using it in perfumes, test a small amount of the oil on your own skin for at least 24 hours, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.
