ABOUT ABSOLUTE: RESEDA ODORATA

Rezeda fragna comes from Southern Europe and North Africa. Its name comes from the Italian word resedare which means to soothe, soothe.
Absolut Mignonette has an intense, sweet, violet and fruity fragrance with a green tinge and rich in araspirones - the natural ingredients of tobacco aroma derived from carotenoid precursors and an important aromatic component of tea essential oil.
Today, Reseda is mainly used in cosmetics, perfumes and potpourri.

Extraction: The absolute of reseda odorata flowers is extracted with hexanol

Absolutes are a traditional product and they are used in perfumery. Absolutes are used in cases where it is difficult or even impossible to obtain essential oil from a particular plant. Absolutes are obtained from concrete or pomades by extraction with ethanol, most often at elevated temperature. After distilling off the solvent, the product is obtained in a semi-fluid or even solid consistency. In order to improve the consistency, they are used with the addition of a cosmetic solvent.

Natural oils can sensitize, so before using it in perfumes, test a small amount of the oil on your own skin for at least 24 hours, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.
