About the oil: Opoponax

Opoponax oil, also known as opopanax or sweet myrrh, due to its smell similar to myrrh. It is obtained from the resin of Commiphora trees which includes over 190 species of trees and shrubs found in arid and tropical regions, especially in East Africa and Madagascar. Opoponax comes from Ethiopia. It is often used as an ingredient in perfumes.

The color depends on the extraction area and the purity of the oil itself, ranging in color from red to yellow-brown to brown.

Natural oils can sensitize, so before using it in perfumes, test a small amount of the oil on your own skin for at least 24 hours, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.

We sell the oil as a raw material.
