Method of production: Steam distillation

the essential oil is distilled from the berries of the laurel tree. The laurel or laurel tree is a small, impressive shrub or tree native to the eastern Mediterranean countries. An evergreen tree reaches maturity after five years and produces about 2 kg of berries per season, and about 50-70 g of essential oil is produced from this amount of berries. Such a small amount of essential oil makes for a fairly high price for real laurel oil.

fragrance: warm camphor and leather, with a hint of juniper, but also delicate floral accents, the whole is very pleasant herbal.

The smell is quite different from that of bay leaves, it is very noble and warm.

It blends well with: sage oil, cypress, citrus notes, juniper, hyssop, leather notes.

The most common combination of laurel berry oil is other oils and perfumery compositions

Creates a distinct heart note or bottom note.

To be used correctly oil concentrates should be diluted in proportions to produce perfumes.

Dosage:

The most durable perfume extracts contain up to 40% of oils (usually 25%).

ESDP (Esprit de Parfum) contain 15-30% oils.

EDP Eau de Parfum contain 12-25% oils

Eau de Toilette (EDT) contain 6-18% oils

Colognes contain about 5-7% oils.

Aftershaves contain 2-4%.

Refreshing waters, i.e. mists - up to 5%.

To create your own perfume or aromatic water, you should mix the oil compositions with alcohol, usually 80%, and leave it in a dark place for at least 3 weeks. It is advisable to shake the perfume bottle at least once a day in order to better mix the oil with alcohol.

After 3 weeks, the perfume is ready for use.

Natural oils can sensitize you, so before using it in perfumes, you should test a small amount of the oil on your skin for at least 24 hours, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.
