It is also used as a fixative in many perfumes of famous brands and is traditionally used in perfumes, in the past it added an exquisite fragrance and was used in pomaders.

Extraction: The iris root absolute is extracted with hexanol

Aroma: Orris root oil has a woody and heavy aroma.

Absolutes are a traditional product and they are used in perfumery. Absolutes are used in cases where it is difficult or even impossible to obtain essential oil from a particular plant. Absolutes are obtained from concrete or pomades by extraction with ethanol, most often at elevated temperature. After distilling off the solvent, the product is obtained in a semi-fluid or even solid consistency. In order to improve the consistency, they are used with the addition of a cosmetic solvent.

Natural oils can sensitize, so before using it in perfumes, test a small amount of the oil on your own skin for at least 24 hours, if there is no reaction, you can use it for the production of perfume or toilet water.
